The list of valid IDs in the Philippines is undeniably long. These are composed of primary IDs which are mostly issued by the government agencies in the country and the secondary IDs which some are released by private entities.

The National ID is one of the primary IDs that you can obtain. The good news is that there is an easy process in getting this type of identification card. You can start the process online so you can save time for the processing when you get to a registration site for the said type of ID card.

The online application benefits countless Filipinos most especially those who can hardly leave their work for the ID processing. Here are the steps that you may follow in getting a National ID:

Step 1 — Go to www.register.philsys.gov.ph online and accomplish the form. Provide your demographic information to set an appointment. Input all the information required in the form and submit the form. Make sure to save a copy of the Application Reference Number (ARN) and/or your QR code.

Step 2 — Go to your designated registration center on your appointment schedule. Make sure to bring with you your PhilSys ID requirements for application, your ARN, and/or your QR code. You may also bring any of the following supporting documents:

  • PSA Birth Certificate or National Statistics Office (NSO)-issued Certificate of Live Blrth with Birth Reference Number (BreN)
  • PSA-issued Report of Birth
  • Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO)-issued Certificate of Live Birth
  • PSA-issued Certificate of Foundling
  • Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) ID
  • Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Identification Card
  • Seaman’s Book (Seafarer’s Record Book)
  • Social Security System (SSS) lD
  • Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) ID
  • Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) ID
  • Senior Citizen’s lD issued by the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) and/or LocalGovernment Units (LGU)
  • National Bureau of lnvestigation (NBl) Clearance
  • Police Clearance or ID
  • Voter’s lD issued by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC)

Step 3 — Wait for the delivery of your National ID card and your PhilSys Number (PSN). Get your transaction slip or at least one of your existing valid IDs to be presented when claiming from a courier delivery.
