Here’s the latest update on the case of the missing beauty queen Catherine Camilon

CATHERINE CAMILON CASE – The Police Regional Office (PRO) 4A announced on Monday that they have identified a person of interest in the case of the missing beauty queen.

Camilon was reported missing on October 12, 2023, and she was declared a “missing person” by the Batangas Police Provincial Office on October 19, 2023. Catherine, 26, is a candidate for Miss Grand Philippines 2023 and a batchmate of Herlene Budol. She is also a public school teacher in Tuy, Batangas.

According to PRO 4A Public Information Office chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Chitadel Gaoiran, Regional Director Police Brigadier General Paul Kenneth Lucas confirmed the presence of a person of interest (POI) in the investigation. They are actively gathering information to establish the identity of this person.

“As per [Regional Director Police Brigadier General Paul Kenneth Lucas], yes po,” PRO 4A Public Information Office chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Chitadel Gaoiran said. “Tuloy-tuloy pa din po ang pangangalap ng mga impormasyon para mas matukoy po yung pagkakakilanlan ng POI,” Gaoiran added.

The beauty queen-teacher was last seen on October 12 at a mall in Lemery, Batangas. Her mother mentioned that she had plans to meet someone in Batangas City but never arrived there.

Police Colonel Samson Belmonte, the Director of the Batangas Police Provincial Office, has directed increased efforts to locate and collect information regarding Catherine’s whereabouts. Various police stations and units in the Batangas Police Province are collaborating with the Tuy Municipal Police Station in their search for any leads or information.

Meanwhile, Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste offered a 100K reward in search of Catherine Camilon. In an interview, Leviste stated that he visited Camilon’s family home in Tuy, Batangas, where he provided financial support.
