Miss Grand Philippines 2023 candidate Catherine Camilon is still missing
MARK LEVISTE – The vice governor of Batangas has offered a reward of 100,000 pesos in the hope of expediting the search for Miss Grand Philippines 2023 candidate Catherine Camilon, who was reported missing since October 12.
Camilon’s disappearance dates back to Thursday, October 12, as reported by her family. On Friday, October 13, her sister, Chin-chin Camilon, made a public plea on Facebook directed at one of Catherine’s colleagues who had been with her the previous evening, seeking any information regarding the beauty queen’s whereabouts. Unfortunately, the colleague she reached out to has not responded to the post.
In her Facebook message, Chin-chin mentioned that Catherine’s last phone call was placed the prior night at 8 pm, and her phone has remained switched off since the following morning. Catherine’s uncharacteristic absence from online communication has raised concerns since she typically maintains regular contact with her family, making this the first instance of her not staying in touch. On October 13, Chin-chin also posted information about Catherine’s car, a Nissan Juke with the license plate number NEI 2990.
Subsequently, on Monday, October 16, Chin-chin shared her mother Rose Camilon’s phone number online for anyone with information about Catherine. Rose had previously expressed her worries about her daughter. Catherine Camilon was last seen at a mall in Lemery, Batangas, a few hours before she lost contact with her family and was reported missing.
Meanwhile, Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste has offered a reward of ₱100,000 in the hope of expediting the search for Miss Grand Philippines 2023 candidate Catherine Camilon, who was reported missing since October 12.
In an interview, Leviste stated that he visited Camilon’s family home in Tuy, Batangas, where he provided financial support. “I visited this morning at the family home of Ms. Catherine Camilon…I listened to their story and contacted the Tuy police to find out the latest developments in their search and investigation,” said the vice governor. Leviste also promised to closely follow the case.
