Boy Abunda to Alden Richards: “Did you fall for Maine?”
ALDEN RICHARDS – Here’s what the Asia’s Multimedia Star said when he was asked if he did fall for actress-host Maine Mendoza.
The actor is set to star in the upcoming movie titled “Five Breakups and a Romance” with actress Julia Montes. He appeared on Monday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” where he talked about his upcoming film.
At one point, talk show host Boy Abunda asked Alden if he considered the “AlDub” (Alden and Yaya Dub) love team as his “biggest romance” and his “biggest breakup” in his showbiz career. The actor answered “yes” on both.
The King of Talk then asked the Asia’s Multimedia Star if he did fall in love with Maine Mendoza throughout the fame of their love team. Alden answered “yes” and said that he would be hypocrite if he said no.
He added that he’s very grateful to her and to “Eat Bulaga” for opening a door of opportunities for him.
“Yes, hypocrite po ako kung hindi. Ayoko pong sabihing alam niya but I did confess,” the actor said. “Ang daming opportunities na dumating sa buhay ko because of it [AlDub]. I’m very grateful to Maine.”
In the same interview, the Asia’s Multimedia Star admitted that he had a crush on Miss Universe 2015 titleholder Pia Wurtzbach. He shared that he liked her “from afar” and he didn’t admit his feelings to her.
According to the actor, the beauty queen has remained humble through the years, even after winning the Miss Universe title. He also said he can attest that she has remained the same.
