AI-AI DELAS ALAS – The Comedy Queen was dismayed after discovering that her photo was being used without permission to promote a health and wellness product, with claims that she had recovered from a stroke due to this product.
The image portrayed Ai Ai lying in a hospital bed with tubes in her mouth and something on her head, suggesting that she had suffered a stroke. In response, Ai Ai clarified that she had not experienced a stroke, and the image in question was actually from her television series on GMA Network called “Raising Mamay.”
Ai-Ai delas Alas expressed her frustration in a video posted on her Facebook account on October 25, condemning those who used her image in this manner and accusing them of being unethical. She vehemently urged the public not to support the brand responsible and requested that netizens report the Facebook account associated with this advertisement. Currently, the said Facebook page cannot be found.
“Dun sa mga nag aalala saken hindi po ako na stroke or may sakit wag kayong naniniwala sa mga nakikita nyo sa feed .. At kayong mga scammer na nag bebenta nyan tigilan nyo na yang panggamit ng picture ko sa Raising Mamay … atsaka yung picture ko sa endorsement ko na coffee mga shutang inames ninyo ginamit nyo na lahat walanghiya binigyan nyo pa ako ng sakit … matakot kayo sa karma.. at sa CCTV ni LORD .. nakupo nakakatakot ang karma pag bumalik sa inyo yan goodluck,” she noted in the caption of her post.
Meanwhile, Ai-Ai delas Alas, whose real name is Martina Eileen Hernandez Delas Alas-Sibayan, is a prominent singer, actress, and comedian, earning her the title “Queen of Comedy” in the Philippines. She gained fame for her role in the hit film “Ang Tanging Ina” (2003), which led to several sequels and a television series. Her comedic talent and versatile acting skills have made her a beloved figure in Philippine showbiz.
