VICE GANDA – The comedian appears to have thrown shade at Juan Ponce Enrile following the latter’s “bastos” and “abusado” remarks.

On Monday, September 11, the 47-year-old host of It’s Showtime delivered a message about “mga lolong hindi ako masyadong like” on the noontime show. This came after the 99-year-old former senator criticized Vice Ganda over the weekend, calling him “bastos” and “abusado”.

During the Mini Miss segment of the Kapamilya noontime show, a contestant asked Vice to greet or “give a shout-out” to the contestant’s grandfather, as Vice is his idol. The comedian, on the other hand, took the opportunity to convey a message to their senior citizen viewers.

“Nakakatuwa. Andaming lolong nanonood sa akin. Ang daming lolong nakatutok sa akin, di ba? At love ako ng mga lolos. Hi sa mga lolos na love na love ako. Love natin ang mga lolos.”

He then quipped, “My God, sa social media ang dami ding nagsa-shout-out sa akin. My God, I’m so relevant and famous… Lalung-lalo na yung mga lolo diyan na mahal na mahal ako. Maraming salamat po. I love lolos and lolas, promise…”

Even though there are other lolos who don’t really like him, Vice said that he loves them. His co-host, Jhong Hilario, initially mentioned that many senior citizens are happy with Vice because they claim to feel better when the comedian makes them laugh.

Then Vice explained that It’s Showtime is committed to making senior citizens happy. “Pati na rin sa mga lolong hindi ako masyadong like, I still love you po.” The message he conveyed to senior citizens sparked discussions on social media, with some suggesting that he was throwing shade at Juan Ponce Enrile’s remarks.
