Rob Gomez: “There’s a special kind of love for the mother of your child. Especially now that we’re not together I miss them so much”
ROB GOMEZ – The actor shared that he missed his ex-partner Shaila Rebortera and their daughter Amelia.
He said this when he was interviewed by the entertainment press at the cast reveal and media conference of the upcoming horror movie titled “Shake, Rattle, & Roll: XTREME” last September 27, 2023.
According to Rob, there has been a big change in his life since his ex-partner and their daughter left him. He also said that the excitement seems to have disappeared every time he comes home because his ex-partner and their daughter are no longer with him.
Despite what happened, Rob said that he never stopped reaching out to Shaila since she left. The actor also said that he still loves his ex-partner.
“I have [been reaching out]. Ever since 20 minutes since she left me, I’ve been the same way,” he said. “There’s a special kind of love for the mother of your child. Especially now that we’re not together I miss them so much.”
According to him, he wanted a private life with his daughter because he didn’t want her to be involved in the issues and intrigues of the showbiz world.
The actor also revealed the reason why he and his ex-partner broke up.
Rob confirmed that him saying he was single in an interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” was the reason why he and Shaila. According to him, he didn’t want to hurt anyone and not to let down the producers who put their money up for him.
He added that he just wanted to show them the gratitude and the effort that he puts into every single day of work he has received.
“But at the same time, ’yon nga po, siguro, umangat ’yong isa, bumaba ’yong isa. But I didn’t want any of that to happen, lalo na with her, the mother of my child,” he said. “So, for that, I’m sorry.”
It can be recalled that Shaila revealed last month that she and Rob have a daughter named Amelia.
