Lady Commuter Shares Unusual Encounter w/ Fellow Passenger on MRT
A lady commuter has shared her unusual experience on MRT where she encountered a fellow passenger she referred to as “modern-day Moses.”
Charity Venus, a Facebook user, shared her encounter with a fellow commuter she likened to a “modern-day Moses” for his extraordinary actions in navigating the crowded train. The post elicits reactions from the online community.
Venus shared the daily grind faced by countless commuters in Metro Manila, where the MRT system often operates at maximum capacity, leaving passengers to brave the tight spaces and sweltering conditions.
During that day, Charity shared that passengers at Ortigas station were pushing and shoving, determined to board the train even though it was already jam-packed. One man stood out in a moment of desperation.
“Di na po bago sa atin yung masikip ang MRT pero pagkarating naming Ortigas nagtutulakan na talaga para makapasok yung iba kahit siksikan na talaga bago non. Si kuya, sa Santolan na sya bababa pero sobrang barado yung daanan tapos [ayun na],” Charity said.
The male passenger shouts “BASANG T*E! BASANG T*E! BASANG T*E!” as he attempted to create a path through the sea of commuters. His inappropriate method made the impossible possible, parting the crowd like the biblical Moses parting the Red Sea.
The lady commuter was left speechless and even removed her face mask to ensure it was a real and not an illusion. It shows that there are passengers who are willing to go such lengths just to reach their destination as soon as possible.
In a previous report, a lady passenger shares her “worst commuter experience” at MRT-3
“Nung narinig ko napatanggal ako ng face mask kasi inamoy ko muna kung totoo bago umusog,” she added.
The incident describes the daily challenges faced by commuters in Metro Manila wherein public transportation can often be a test of patience.
