After the successive declarations of “persona non grata” against Pura for emulating Jesus Christ and using a remix of the “Ama Namin” (Our Father) in a controversial performance, a content creator is now attracting attention from netizens for imitating Jesus Christ.
The content creator is “Marlon TapaLord,” who is said to resemble Jesus Christ due to his long hair and thick mustache. In the comment section of his posts, many netizens are questioning whether Marlon will also be declared persona non grata like drag artist Pura Luka Vega.
Some netizens argue that because Marlon is “straight,” no one seems to be objecting or questioning him, whereas Pura Luka Vega, as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, is facing significant backlash.
TapaLord also shared a video of an interview with Cheryl Cosim on TV5’s “Sagot Kita,” where a pastor explained that no one really knows the true appearance of Jesus Christ, and the depiction is based on the church’s description.
Meanwhile, Marlon was exclusively interviewed by Balita and provided his reaction and comments regarding what netizens are saying about him. “Karapatan naman nila magbigay ng reaction sa akin… pero kung supporters sila ni Pura sana nag-donate sila kay Pura… para naman di lang mema mema lang sila… Hanap damay lang din yung iba kasi di nila kaya ipagtanggol nang diretso na lang…,” he said.
