Cebu Student Offers Free Food Starving Individuals
CEBU CITY, PHILIPPINES – A generous Cebu student earns praise online for offering free food to starving individuals.
Christian Geonzon, a Facebook user, has shared a photo of his food cart business outside the University of Cebu, where he sells a variety of affordable meals to students and workers. His compassionate act earns praise from the netizens.
The Management student at the University of Cebu shared that once he reaches his daily sales target, he generously offers the remaining food to those who are in need.
“I’m always grateful sa mga blessings naabot, if makuha na nako ang quota sa sales, always nako genahatag ang sobra or always ko mag share og mga foods sa mga tao,” he said.
He believes in the saying by Winston Churchill, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”
His food cart offers a range of local street food favorites, including pork lumpia, tawgi, dynamite, fried chicken, and chicken pastil.
The recipients of his kindness often include the homeless and fellow students who may not have enough money for a meal later in the day. His message is simple but profound: “If you’re hungry and don’t have money, approach the guard. Don’t be embarrassed.”
For Geonzon, the feeling of assisting those in need exceeds any potential loss in his business. He gets great satisfaction from knowing that his act of charity offers joy to others who are hungry. His selflessness inspires others to share their blessings and make a positive difference in the lives of those less fortunate
