Carla Abellana: “I’m happy where I am”
CARLA ABELLANA – The Kapuso actress recently shared that she has moved on from her ex-husband Tom Rodriguez.
She shared this happy development in a media conference during her contract signing with her new talent management company, All Access to Artists (AAA), as reported on “Unang Balita” on Wednesday.
According to the Kapuso actress, she has found her peace and she has really closed that chapter of her life. She also said that she’s definitely happy where she’s now in her life.
Carla shared that she’s happy and peaceful now.
“Nahanap ko na po ‘yung aking peace. Talagang nasara ko na ‘yung chapter na ‘yun ng aking buhay. Lagpas-lagpas pa po ako sa pagmu-move on,” she said. “Masayang masaya po, definitely masaya kung nasaan ako ngayon sa buhay ko. I’m happy where I am.”
However, she admitted that she’s still not comfortable working with her ex-husband. Although their breakup didn’t go well, the actress previously said she has forgiven him and she no longer holds a grudge against him.
Tom and Carla got married in October 2021, but rumors started to swirl about the problem in their relationship as a married couple after almost 3 months.
It was last February 2023 when the actress revealed the reason of their breakup in an interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda”. At that time, she said that the reason why they broke up was that it came to a point where she’s had enough.
Since their separation, the Kapuso actress has been sharing some posts about her healing and self-love journey on her social media account, which included a visual poem titled “Mahinahon”.
The actress is set to star in the upcoming Kapuso Afternoon Prime series titled “Stolen Life” with Beauty Gonzalez and Gabby Concepcion.
