Raffy Tulfo used to be an extra in the movie of Chuck Norris
RAFFY TULFO – The senator admitted that he used to be an extra in a movie of American actor Chuck Norris, and he was paid only P200 as his talent fee.
Ngayon I don’t, dapat may standard,” Tulfo emphasized during the hearing of the Senate committee on labor, employment, and human resource development.
Because of this, Tulfo appealed to production companies to give proper consideration to extras or talents who receive meager talent fees but wait for very long hours before being included in the shooting.
“Sana sa mga production company, maawa din kayo sa mga extra, kasi nababalitaan ko napakaliit lang po ang pinapasuweldo o binibigay sa mga extra, and yet sila yung naghihintay for so many hours, sometimes up to 16 hours bago maisalang at ang matatanggap P800 to P1,000,” said Tulfo.
According to Tulfo, there should be a policy on how much and what is an appropriate payment or talent fee for extras in movies.
