PAOLO CONTIS – The comedian-television host has reacted to Kapuso artists who prefer to appear as guests on ‘It’s Showtime’ rather than on ‘Eat Bulaga!’.

Paolo Contis, a Filipino actor, host, singer, and comedian of Italian descent, began his career as a child actor on ABS-CBN’s Ang TV. He gained fame through his roles in various TV shows and movies, including the youth-oriented program Tabing Ilog.

Later, he transitioned to GMA Network, where he took on more mature and antagonist roles. Contis has won awards for his acting and hosted several comedy and reality shows. He also has a significant online presence due to his popular films on Netflix. In his personal life, he has three children from previous relationships and is currently in a relationship with actress Yen Santos.

Currently, he’s one of the hosts of the revamped Eat Bulaga! It’s been two months since he was introduced to host the show alongside Betong Sumaya, Buboy Villar, Alexa Miro, the Legaspi twins, and former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.

Since the revamp of the noontime show, which is being produced by the Television and Production Exponents Inc. or TAPE Inc., it’s been pitted against other shows like ABS-CBN’s It’s Showtime and E.A.T on TV5.

Apparently, there were some Kapuso artists who preferred to guest on It’s Showtime rather than Eat Bulaga. When asked for a reaction in an interview with PEP.ph, Paolo Contis said, “Hindi mo masisisi yung mga ganun. Kasi siyempre, personal nilang desisyon yun.”

“Meron din sila siyempreng… hindi mo masasabi kung may takot, o merong personal na investment with others, di ba? You cannot take that against them. Basta kami, kung OK sa inyong mag-guest, bakit hindi, thank you. Kung hindi, e then we have to move on. We cannot take it against them. Ano naman yun, e… hindi kasi normal yung naging circumstance nung buong pangyayari. So, hindi mo sila masisisi,” he added.
