PIA GUANIO – Netizens were baffled by the steep cost of renting the private resort owned by the former Eat Bulaga host in Batangas.
Individuals seeking a vacation could reserve the entirety of the family-owned resort, known as ‘El Jardin de Zaida’, for the price of P195,800 per night. Situated in San Juan, Batangas, the resort offers a tranquil getaway for potential visitors.
The website of El Jardin de Zaida outlined that the overnight fee of P195,800 covered the exclusive usage of 4 suites and 8 deluxe rooms, accommodating up to 24 guests. Additionally, guests would have sole access to Rocio Spa and Rodolfo’s restaurant, along with housekeeping services, pool and sports equipment usage, calamansi picking for 8 people, breakfast for 24 individuals, complimentary internet, bottled water, and welcome amenities.
Despite these inclusions, a number of online users expressed dissatisfaction with the high price tag thru an FB post of Philippine Star. A netizen named Dennis remarked: “Matindi ang presyo, abroad ba to?half a million pesos for 2 days!!!ano kaya meron sa resorts nato, tama yung comment nung isa- may fountain of youth daw sa loob ng resorts.”
But some netizens argued that not everyone could afford to rent the entire resort and that the business was targeting a different clientele. “I’ve had reactions like some people here about how high prices of some resorts are. But then after a while, I’ve come to realize, if I react in such a manner then I am not their target market. People who can’t afford it are simply not their market. We have to accept that reality, instead if making negative comments. Not unless, the resort looks so ordinary, then that’s another story,” shared netizen Winn.
Meanwhile, the resort owned by Pia Guanio also provides accommodation options for smaller groups, such as a family room for 2 adults and 2 children, ranging from P8,100 to P22,950 per night.
