NADINE SAMONTE – The “The Missing Husband” actress recently shared the reason why she decided to return to acting.
In an interview with the entertainment press, the actress admitted in the virtual media conference for the upcoming Kapuso drama series “The Missing Husband” that she hesitated before finally accepting the offer to act on television again.
The actress was asked what made her say yes to return to acting.
According to the actress, she has rejected many projects in the past because she felt she’s “nangangalawang”. The actress also hasn’t done a TV series for a long time and she only guested on shows.
“Before sa The Missing Husband, may mga offer na [project sa akin],” she said. “Pero kasi, itong masasabi ko na mas… Kasi ten years akong nawala. Mangangapa ka, e. Mahihiya ka. Parang nag-umpisa ka lang ulit sa umpisa.”
When she found out that she would be working with “Etheria” director Mark Reyes and actress Yasmien Kurdi, she then said yes to the offered project. But the actress said she couldn’t be taken away from being hesitant at that time.
According to her, she wanted to make sure that she was ready before finally accepting the offered project.
Nadine is a hands-on mother to her three children with her husband Richard Chua. The actress also shared that she talked to her businessman husband about the offered project first and he was supportive of her decision.
Now that she’s returning to acting again, Nadine said that she’s hoping and praying for more projects. The actress even joked that she might get pregnant again and stop acting.
“No more na! Kaya nga ako bumalik. Wala na. Close na ako,” she said.
