After being told to cover his tattoos, sports newscaster Mikee Reyes decided to decline an invitation to host a Family Day event
MIKEE REYES – The sports newscaster has declined an invitation to host a family day event after being told to hide his tattoos.
Mikee, also known as “Tito Mikee,” shared a conversation on Facebook between himself and an unnamed individual regarding his hosting role at the family day event. Based on the screenshots shared by the “Frontline Pilipinas” anchor, it appears that the organizers requested him to cover his tattoos by wearing long sleeves. At this juncture, Mikee declined, stating that he is not comfortable with being asked to cover his tattoos for his job.
The person on the other end explained that they were instructed to ask Mikee due to the presence of many children at the event. The former University of the Philippines star guard and current sports newscaster then stated that they should have assumed or inquired about him before he was hired for the event.
In the caption of his post, he noted that they could have simply informed him that the attire for the event was formal or required long sleeves. He also questioned whether his tattoos make him bad for children.
