Lola Nena’s Throws Shade at Potato Corner for Employee Qualifications?

Lola Nena’s employee qualifications captured netizens’ attention

LOLA NENA’S – The Filipino-inspired bakery and cafe seems to be throwing shade at Potato Corner over the qualifications of its employees.

Potato Corner, the global food franchise known for its flavored French fries, has been attracting significant attention online due to the job requirements at one of its branches (Ventura Mall).

Based on the qualifications, applicants are required to have a ‘good set of teeth,’ and their weight should be proportionate to their height. This has provoked netizens, leading them to express their frustration with the management of the food franchise.

As a response, Potato Corner has issued an official statement. According to them, “discriminatory hiring” is not something they support or condone. Thus, they are all about “providing equal opportunities for all, and giving fair recognition and reward to effort, attitude, potential, and creating positive outcomes.”

Despite Potato Corner having already issued a statement, the situation has yet to calm down. This is especially true after some restaurants, including Lola Nena’s, posted their non-discriminatory qualifications.

On Facebook, the bakery and cafe shared a creatively designed hiring poster for potential applicants. Here are Lola Nena’s qualifications:

  • Age? It doesn’t define you.
  • Education? Passion for food and people is our priority.
  • Math skills? We’ll teach you what you need to know.
  • Gender? All are welcome.
  • Appearance? Your warmth and authenticity shine the
    brightest.
  • Communication? Respect and kindness are our
    languages.
  • Love for people? Absolutely essential.

In the last part of their post, Lola Nena’s emphasized: “We’re not looking for beauty queens or math geniuses; we’re looking for hearts that align with our mission to impart happiness and create meaningful experiences.”
