Liza Soberano: “I always get compared to girls that are smaller than me”

LIZA SOBERANO – The actress recently spoke about her numerous insecurities.

The actress appeared on Vicki Belo’s recent vlog where she and Scarlet Snow Belo competed in the “Trivia Game” and answered various questions. Scarlet Snow won the game and went to the couch after playing.

After they played the game, Soberano spoke about her numerous insecurities and the reason why she has insecurity in an interview with Vicki Belo.

According to her, her number one insecurity would be her weight because she would always get criticized for my weight fluctuating back and forth throughout her showbiz career.

She also said that the rumors about her being pregnant just because of her gaining a little weight “would really affect my mental health”. Although she said she doesn’t think she’s unhealthy because she tries to live a healthy lifestyle, the actress said the demands of being in the showbiz industry is “physically unattainable”.

The actress tends to always cover herself up with bigger-sized clothing or “by dressing in the same silhouettes” over and over again because that became her “comfort zone”.

I always get compared to girls that are smaller than me, my peers that are smaller than me,” Soberano told Vicki Belo. “Because I am [half-American], I also am a little bit on the bigger side.

Soberano also said that she’s insecure about her skin, especially on her legs. She shared that she had really bad skin growing up, adding that she had “allergic reactions to the air, changing environment”.

The actress said individuals would consistently draw attention to her knees, noting their scarred and darker appearance in contrast to others who are blessed with flawless skin.

Aside from being insecure about her weight and skin, she said she also become insecure about her hair recently. She shared that her hair “started thinning a bit” as she got older, adding that she got alopecia “around 2020” because of stress.
