The old voice of Karen Davila captured the attention of netizens
MIKE ENRIQUEZ and KAREN DAVILA – A throwback video of the two esteemed broadcast journalists, back when they collaborated in news reporting, has gone viral online, sparking mixed reactions among netizens.
Mike and Karen were once co-anchors on the news program ‘Saksi.’ Unfortunately, the respected broadcast journalist recently passed away at the age of 71.
Following Mike’s passing, numerous industry colleagues expressed their sorrow. Even Mel Tiangco and Vicky Morales couldn’t hold back tears during the closing segment of “24 Oras” on the day he passed.
While the nation mourns the loss of this veteran reporter, several old videos of him have resurfaced on social media. One of these shows Mike Enriquez rapping in a movie starring Andrew E.
In addition, another old video of him has gone viral, providing a glimpse into his work. In this video, he delivers a closing spiel for the news program, Saksi. Karen Davila was accompanying him on the show as his co-anchor.
Many have observed the contrast in Karen’s voice between then and now. Netizens also found it hard to recognize Karen due to her voice being high-pitched back then, in contrast to its huskiness now.
