Jomari Yllana: “Naisip ko lang siya talaga, kumusta siya. Then, ‘yun lang, socials. And then I saw her”
JOMARI YLLANA – The actor-politician recently spoke about reconnecting with his partner Abby Viduya after 30 years.
The celebrity couple appeared on Friday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” where they looked back on how they got reconnected after being apart for three decades.
In an interview with Boy Abunda, Jomari said that he had messaged her on Facebook. Abby was residing in Canada at that time.
It can be recalled that Jomari Yllana and Abby Viduya first met in 1992 while they were working on the film “Guwapings: The First Adventure”. Soon enough, the two got into a relationship but it didn’t last long.
Jomari and Abby are back together 30 years later and the two rekindled their romance in 2019 after they got reconnected in 2015. The actor revealed that he was the one who told Abby to return to the Philippines.
He was also asked in an interview if he asked her if they could be together again. According to him, he didn’t asked her if they could be together again but he told her to “Come home” instead because she told him that she “will never come back to the Philippines”.
Abby, for her part, shared that she had her life in Canada back then and she asked Jomari why she’s going to go back in the Philippines when there’s nothing for her to go back to.
“I had my life there,” she said. “Sabi ko, ‘Why am I gonna go back here when there’s nothing for me to go back to?’ Like my family is all there, right? So I said, this was probably like in 2015, I said, ‘I’m not gonna go back there.’”
When the moment came that Abby finally returned to the Philippines, she and Jomari were overwhelmed with their emotions. Abby Viduya also admitted that she was “so scared” and “nervous of what I did” at that time.
After 30 years of being apart from each other, the couple shared that they like to be together at all times.
In the same interview, the celebrity couple shared that they’re set to tie the knot in a civil wedding in Las Vegas at the end of the year and are also set to hold a church wedding ceremony in Naga City next year.
