Geneva Cruz: “Before I’m 50, …”
GENEVA CRUZ — The actress-singer recently shared the goal she hopes to achieve for herself and her daughter before turning 50 years old.
The actress-singer appeared on Karen Davila’s latest vlog where she spoke about her 2 marriages and also opened up about being a single mother.
In an interview with Karen Davila, she admitted that being a single mother is challenging. She also said that she’s working hard to create more memories with her daughter London.
Geneva further remarked that as she’s doing dual roles a single mom — being a mother and father to her daughter at the same time — and she admitted that it’s “very hard” to do it.
The actress-singer also spoke about being married twice. It can be recalled that the actress-singer was first married to musician Paco Arespacochaga but their marriage was annulled. Geneva and Paco have a son named Heaven.
She then got married to TV host KC Montero in 2004 but they separated in 2010.
Geneva then shared that now that she’s more self-aware, she’s able to reflect on why her relationships in the past didn’t work out. The actress-singer also shared what she realized from her past relationships.
According to her, one shouldn’t be hasty in making decisions in life “lalo na sa mga decisions of the heart” and it’s better to work on oneself first.
Geneva also shared the specific goal she hopes to achieve for herself and for her daughter before turning 50 years old.
“Before I’m 50, [my goal is] mapatayo ko ‘yung dream rest house namin ni London. Meron nang nabiling lupa sa Tanay and I love nature and it gives me peace,” she said. “‘Yun talaga ang pangarap ko na in 3 years gusto ko mag lie low konti, na siguro kumanta na lang so I can see my daughter grow up kasi ‘yun ang hindi ko nagawa kay Heaven.“
In an interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” aired last July, Geneva said that the love lesson she learned is not to make sudden decisions when it comes to marriage.
