Albie is currently gaining attention online due to his recent performance at the grand coronation of Mutya ng Cotabato 2023, which took place on Friday, August 25, 2023. Videos have surfaced on social media showing him singing “Habang Buhay” by Zack Tabudlo in front of the candidates.
However, some netizens suggested that the actor appeared slightly tipsy. His manager, Leo Dominguez, clarified the issue, stating that Albie was not intoxicated when he serenaded the candidates.
PERSONAL BACKGROUND
Albie, whose real name is Alan Benedict Lee Hernandez, is a 30-year-old actor from Makati.
CAREER
It was in 2010 that he first entered show business through the variety show SOP on GMA Network. He’s best known for his role as Christian in the 2010 hit series, Mara Clara.
ISSUES
Casiño had a controversial situation with his ex-girlfriend Andi Eigenmann in 2011 when she claimed that her “first” boyfriend (possibly Albie) might be the father of her first child. Andi’s boyfriend at the time, Jake Ejercito, denied being the father, but after a 5-year dispute, Andi’s sister confirmed in a podcast in September 2016 that Jake Ejercito was indeed the father and a paternity test was done without Albie’s knowledge.
On May 4, 2012, Gene Eigenmann saw Casiño at a bar in Makati and apparently threw wine on Casiño’s face and hit him. Casiño went to the restroom to clean up with the plan of leaving the bar. However, he and a friend were supposedly followed and attacked in the parking lot by people who were with Eigenmann. A bouncer eventually intervened to stop the disturbance.
In August 2015, Albie Casiño talked about his struggle with ADHD or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder as a reason for leaving ABS-CBN. In 2021, he joined the Celebrity edition of Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) and discussed his ADHD-related challenges, which led to a disagreement with fellow housemate Alexa Ilacad. This tension eventually resulted in his eviction from the show.
