Ria revealed that she’s ready to step out of her girl-next-door image and explore more mature roles, according to a report on PUSH.

The actress shared that one of the first big challenges for her was shooting an intimate scene with Tony early on in their taping days. According to her, playing the role of “Melinda” is the “most mature role” that she has done.

She also said that it’s nice to work with people she’s comfortable with and she’s grateful that Tony is her leading man for the TV series, adding that their directors are gracious enough to guide them through every delicate intimate scene.

I think this is the most mature role that I’ve done. So that on its own is already a difficult experience so to speak,” Ria said. “I guess that’s really the challenge for me kasi nga as a wholesome po tayo (laughs).

Ria was also asked how she felt while shooting the bed scene with Tony. According to her, “pawis na pawis” and “nag-aapoy talaga”. Aside from this, Ria Atayde also counted herself lucky to be paired with Tony Labrusca.

“Nag-Aapoy Na Damdamin” airs on Kapamilya Channel, TV5, Kapamilya Online Live, TFC, A2Z, and iWantTFC at 3:50 p.m. from Mondays to Fridays.
