Rendon Labador criticizes Lea Salonga
RENDON LABADOR – The motivational speaker called singer Lea Salonga “plastic” after explaining why she refused to take a photo with Filipino fans in a viral video.
In the said video, Lea told the fans: “Who are you? I’m sorry, I don’t know who you are. If you’re not on the guest list, we cannot have you back here. So, you’ll have to get to the door because if I allow this now then other people are gonna take advantage.”
Lea later explained that the fans had entered her dressing room without her permission, causing her personal boundaries and space to be violated. She questioned how she was supposed to react in such a situation.
While Rendon acknowledged that Lea’s explanation was valid, he criticized her body language during the interview, calling her ‘plastic’. “Okay yung paliwanag pero hindi maganda ‘yung body language. Plastic si Lea Salonga,” he noted in a comment. He also referred to her as “expired,” using the same term to describe other celebrities he has criticized.
In another post, Rendon expressed disappointment with Lea for not accommodating her few admirers. He suggested that some celebrities lose their fame due to their negative attitudes towards fans, stating, “Ilang piraso na nga lang ‘yung fans mo hindi mo pa ma cater [facepalm emoji] Madami talagang artista na may attitude sa totoong buhay. Kaya din kayo nalalaos.”
As of press time, Lea has not responded to Rendon’s criticisms. Aside from Lea Salonga, Labador has been critical of Joey de Leon and Ricci Rivero lately.
