Iza Calzado Shares Daughter Deia Amihan’s Recent Milestone

Iza Calzado: “I was so excited to show Ben, only to be told by him that she’s done that in front of him before.”

IZA CALZADO – The celebrity mom recently gave an update about the recent milestone of her daughter, Deia Amihan.

The actress shared about the progress her daughter has been making. She was able to capture her daughter sitting up on her own, as seen in a series of photos posted on her social media account.

Actress Iza Calzado and British businessman Ben Wintle tied the knot in a beach ceremony in Palawan on December 2018. The two welcomed baby Deia Amihan earlier this year.

In the caption of her social media post, the Kapamilya actress revealed that this wasn’t the first time that her firstborn was able to sit on her own but it’s the only time she’s able to capture the moment.

It happened during class (where phones are not allowed) so I recreated the moment at home and this time Deia held the position much longer, probably 3 mins long,” she said in the caption of her post.

Iza shared that she thought she’s the first one in their family to witness the moment but her husband revealed to her that their firstborn previously showed it off to him. Because of this, the actress said that her daughter is ready to eat.

In a separate post, she shared that her daughter was able to roll over unassisted last month. According to her, her daughter was just over 4 months.

The actress went on to post photos and videos that she took last month and share that they slowly started doing exercises in order to help her daughter figure out how to roll over

Iza also said they would come in to assist her daughter a bit once in a while but they really wanted her to create body awareness and to also discover her own strength, adding that it’s amazing to see her daughter’s progress since they started to put in the work — “tummy time” and the assisted sit-ups.

Like in most things, we just have to do the work. As my mentor and friend, the late Director Freddie Santos would say, ‘Practice makes permanent’,” she said. “Now, Deia loves tummy time. Yay!
