Ivana Alawi: “Merong umaway sa’kin pero never akong nakipag-away sa kanila”
IVANA ALAWI – The actress and social media personality opened up about having a confrontation with a fellow actor in a recent show.
Ivana, whose real name is Mariam Sayed Sameer Marbella Al-Alawi is a Filipina-Moroccan actress, model, and YouTuber. She has gained recognition as one of the most influential social media personalities of her time.
Her career began when she participated in the sixth season of GMA-7’s StarStruck in 2015, where she made it to the top 22 contestants. Following her appearance on the show, she signed with GMA Artist Center. In 2018, Ivana appeared as Rina in ABS-CBN’s Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Araw Gabi. She later had notable roles in popular television shows such as Ang Probinsyano and Sino ang Maysala?: Mea Culpa,
Recently, she took to YouTube wherein she uploaded a vlog with her fam. One of the questions answered by Ivana Alawi was whether she had ever had a conflict with fellow artists. According to Ivana, it happened only in her most recent show.
“Merong umaway sa’kin pero never akong nakipag-away sa kanila. Hindi ko pinapatulan. Meron din sa recent show namin. Pero alam mo yun, I will not stoop down to your level. Kung gusto mong makipag-away mag-isa ka. Pero hindi ko siya kakausapin. Hindi ko rin pa-plastikin,” she said.
She also mentioned that she has encountered a lot of negativity, especially when she was just starting out in showbiz. However, she also mentioned that the ‘nicest person’ she considers, particularly in GMA, is actress Barbie Forteza. According to Ivana, it’s not surprising that Barbie receives numerous blessings because of her kind-heartedness.
