Honest Young Kids Earn Praises for Returning Excess Change to Cashier
HONESTY – A group of young kids has earned praise online for their honest act of returning excess change to the cashier at a café.
The Facebook account of Messiah Cafe shared a photo of these honest kids, and the post quickly went viral, eliciting reactions from netizens.
Mary France, a staff member at the café, was pleasantly surprised when a group of young customers returned to the cashier after finishing their meals. These young customers informed her that they were given an extra twenty pesos in change, which they believed did not rightfully belong to them.
The cashier recognized the children’s parents and commended them for instilling such excellent values in their kids. She was impressed by the children’s decision to return the extra change, even though they could have easily kept it without anyone noticing.
Although Mary France did not know the children’s names, they were regular customers at the café. The group of friends often paid with coins and calculated their own orders.
Due to an unintentional mistake by the staff, the price was miscalculated, resulting in the extra change. Fortunately, the vigilant children noticed the error and immediately returned the excess twenty-peso bill. Mary France was deeply moved by the kids’ honesty.
