Donita Rose husband: “I almost had a stroke and lost my voice for a month”
DONITA ROSE HUSBAND – Gospel recording artist Felson Palad, the husband of former MTV VJ Donita Rose, recently spoke about his daily struggle in managing Type 2 diabetes.
Felson recently posted a before-and-after photo of himself on his social media account and also opened up about his daily struggle in managing his chronic disease of diabetes. According to him, he was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes at age 28.
Diabetes, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), is a chronic disease that occurs either when the body can’t effectively use the insulin it produces or when the pancreas doesn’t produce enough insulin.
In the caption of his social media post, Donita’s husband shared his journey on how he’s managing his Type 2 diabetes.
He said it was “six months ago” when his A1C was 10.5, adding that he was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes since he’s 28 years old and losing weight plays a big role in managing his type 2 diabetes. According to him, he almost had a stroke before because of his condition.
“No bashing, please. Diabetes is a serious health condition. I almost had a stroke and lost my voice for a month: blurred eyesight and many others,” he said. “My picture here is just one of those outcomes of lifestyle changes. I’m still a work in progress.”
Felson went on to thank his wife for helping him live a healthy lifestyle, saying with much prayer and wisdom from God and with his wife’s help preparing his meals and pushing him to go to the gym and exercise with her almost every day, my AIC is “down to 6”.
The singer also said that he will post more about what he has been doing in order to keep inspired how to manage it. However, he clarified that he’s not a doctor and he’s just basing everything with his experience and cooperation with his medical practitioner.
It was last September 2022 when Donita Rose and Felson Palad got married in the United States.
