PATRICK GUZMAN – The Filipino-Canadian actor and the ’90s heartthrob has passed away.

The editor and publisher of Balita Media Inc., Tess Cusipag, stated that the actor’s family is expected to release an official statement regarding funeral arrangements. Patrick, who resided in Canada, died from a heart attack on June 16, 2023. His wife, Liezel, and their 15-year-old son were planning a housewarming event on June 23, but the sudden tragedy disrupted their plans.

Condolences poured in from various personalities in the entertainment industry. Singer-actor Ogie Alcasid, who had worked with Patrick on films like Mama’s Boys 2: Let’s Go Na and Manolo en Michelle: Hapi Together, expressed his shock and sadness on Instagram, bidding farewell to his friend.

Actress, acting coach, and director Beverly Vergel, who collaborated with Patrick on the film “BROmance The Movie” in 2019, also mourned his loss. She described Patrick as a kind, sincere, and gentle soul, remarking that he was an exceptional person who deserved all the praise and admiration.

Patrick began his showbiz career after gaining attention from a Swatch television commercial. He went on to become a guest co-host on the musical variety show VIP, starring alongside Vilma Santos. Throughout the ’90s and early 2000s, he appeared in numerous films before deciding to settle in Canada and focus on his family.
