JUNARD “AHONG” CHAN – The mayor of Lapu-Lapu is offering a reward of 30,000 pesos after a newly painted wall in the city has been vandalized.

In a statement, Mayor Chan announced that they have opened a hotline that is available to receive reports regarding the identity of the person responsible for defacing the recently painted wall. According to him, anyone who can provide complete information that will help in apprehending the vandals will receive a reward of P30,000.

Mayor Chan noted that the wall was just recently painted white, but it has already been vandalized. He couldn’t understand the purpose behind the actions of the vandals and the benefits they derive from defacing public property.

But what he does understand is the significance of their efforts to clean and beautify their city. He added that it is important to attract tourists and create a pleasant environment that, until now, the disruptive members of society have failed to comprehend, not sure how else to make them understand.

Mayor Chan stressed that perhaps if they find themselves facing consequences and end up in prison, they will finally grasp the seriousness of their actions. He’s urging everyone to help them capture the vandals and teach them a proper lesson.
