Maris Racal on her dream wedding: “I want to get married at …”
MARIS RACAL – The actress-singer recently spoke about her dream wedding with her boyfriend, musician Rico Blanco.
It was in May 2021 when Maris and Rico confirmed their relationship. Rico is 50, while Maris is 25.
According to a report on Inquirer Entertainment, the actress-singer said that she would rather get asked about the career-related plans she makes with her boyfriend than about getting married.
Maris shared that Rico knows that she’s not yet ready to get married as her priority is her career in the industry, adding that she wants to keep working and she’s “not yet in the right headspace for that”. The actress-singer, however, said that she already has a dream wedding with her boyfriend.
“I want to get married at San Agustin Church (in Manila),” Maris said. “My first time there was for a shoot, and I liked it so much. I have not seen a church as beautiful as San Agustin. This was in 2015. That’s what I like at the moment. It’s not final yet, though.”

Maris was asked if she’s ever be emotionally ready to get married.
The actress-singer shared that she doesn’t get romantically involved with someone if she’s not sure he’s the right one for her. She added that she and her boyfriend talk about what they want their future together to be like, but they’re “not too focused on that”.
According to her, people say her boyfriend is ready for it but he doesn’t make her feel that. She also said that she guessed her partner doesn’t want to pressure her so he doesn’t talk or give hints about it.
“He will just surprise all of us, I guess,” Maris said.
Aside from this, the actress-singer shared that she and her boyfriend click because both of them have a lot of things in common.
“We talk about many things, like music and life plans—not just about love and all that,” she told Inquirer Entertainment. “While we do make plans for our future, these are related to my career. He supports me. He gives me insights into things and what to do.”
