A video uploaded by furparent Lara has captured the hearts of netizens as it showcases her adorable furbaby, Shelby, showering a delivery rider with affection instead of performing its typical guarding duties.
Lara narrated the incident, explaining that the delivery rider had come to their house to deliver a cash-on-delivery parcel. As Lara went inside to collect the payment, she happened to glance through the window and witnessed a heartwarming scene—Shelby was playfully seeking the delivery rider’s attention, being petted and loved by him.
The endearing video quickly went viral, melting the hearts of viewers who couldn’t resist the cuteness overload. Netizens flooded the comments section with expressions of delight and shared their own stories of heartwarming encounters with animals.
While Lara’s furbaby, Shelby, seemed more interested in seeking affection from the delivery rider than guarding the house, Lara clarified that they never intended for their furbabies to serve as guard dogs.
They have a different perspective on their pets and do not mind if they do not fulfill the traditional role of house guardians.
“Yung kuya sa video, nag-deliver sa amin [ng parcel] na [naka]-COD. So nung pumasok ako para kunin ko yung payment, sumilip ako sa window nakita ko na nga lang pine-pet na siya ni kuya,” Lara said.
“We don’t treat them as a guard dog din naman kaya we don’t mind kahit di na sila nagbabantay ng bahay,” he added.
