It is known for being the second live entertainment program in the Philippines to be broadcast in high-definition, following ASAP Natin ‘To. It has become ABS-CBN’s longest-running daily noontime variety show, surpassing the original run of MTB (Magandang Tanghali Bayan) in 2016.

The theme song of the noontime show is one of the most iconic theme songs ever. Recently, Eat Bulaga host Joey de Leon challenged his co-hosts (Dabarkads) to sing it. He offered to give them ₱10,000 if they could successfully perform the theme song. Jose Manalo, Allan K, Wally Bayola, and special guest Gabbi Garcia took up the challenge and sang the intro of the “It’s Showtime” theme.

After their performance, Joey jokingly threatened that the Dabarkads who sang the song would be fired. In recent weeks, there has been interaction between the hosts of “Eat Bulaga” and “It’s Showtime.” Joey had previously greeted Vice Ganda, one of the hosts of “It’s Showtime,” a happy birthday on the air. Vice graciously thanked Joey and the Dabarkads for the greeting. These playful exchanges between the two rival shows have been entertaining the viewers and creating a friendly atmosphere between the hosts.
