A 42-year-old lady was rejected by the man she met on Tinder because she’s “old”
TINDER – A 42-year-old lady who goes by the name Kate took to social media wherein she expressed her frustration after being rejected by the guy she met on the dating app.
Kate’s post went viral on April 15, 2023, as she sat crying inside her car. She couldn’t help but question if 42 years old was already too old to have a love life. This came after she was rejected by the man she met on Tinder.
“I went on the Tinder date, and he told me that I looked old,” she said. Kate was devastated by the impression this man had of her, considering Tinder is a dating app where people go to find love. Due to her negative experience, Kate exclaimed, “I am scared to go on dates anymore, 42 is the end for me. There is no life after 42 for me.”
Netizens sympathized with her and tried to calm her down. Many people advised Kate that a man’s opinion about her age should not determine her happiness. One netizen offered the advice, “Getting older is a privilege denied to many. Dry your tears because you’re beautiful.” Another person reminded her, “Honey, everyone knows life begins at 40! Go live it, girl!”
Another netizen commented that when Kate is 96 years old and lying in a hospital bed, she would look back on this time and prefer to be 42 years old rather than a frail old lady.
