Kuya Mark finally speaks up
KUYA MARK – The male netizen who used a ride-hailing app to pick up his girlfriend, but discovered she’s with another man, has finally resurfaced and spoken up.
Millions of Filipino internet users have watched a video posted by a moto-vlogger who works with the ride-hailing app JoyRide. The video features a man named ‘Mark’ who used the app to pick up his girlfriend.
However, the JoyRide rider tasked with picking up the girlfriend discovered that she was actually with another man. The rider talked with the girl and was surprised when she told him that ‘Mark’ was her brother, not her boyfriend.
The video quickly gained millions of views, and Mark himself became aware of it. The video also caused the JoyRide app to go viral on social media. Even the convenience store where the rider picked up the girl gained popularity on social media, with netizens taking photos of the place.
Finally, the “pambansang kuya” resurfaced to debunk the controversy surrounding the viral video of his ex-girlfriend. According to Mark, he was shocked right after watching the video. He was hurt because he did not expect that as such thing would happen to him.
For his part, Mark has already forgiven his girlfriend but it would be difficult for him to reconcile with her in case they settle the issue. As of now, Mark said he’s going to focus on himself especially with his studies, family and friends.
