DSWD 4PS BENEFITS – Here are the grants and the amounts of cash assistance extended by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to 4Ps beneficiaries.
The DSWD has several programs that benefit the poor Filipinos in the country. One of the biggest anti-poverty programs is the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or more popularly called 4Ps which was crafted under a law. You can check its benefits and grants below.
Among the DSWD 4Ps benefits are the educational and health grants. Under the educational grant, the families who have children who are enrolled in pre-school, elementary, or high school and attend at least 85% of the classes in a school will receive financial assistance from DSWD. The rate of allowances depend on whether the child is a pre-schooler, an elementary student, or a high-school student. The government agency set the limit for every family for up to three (3) student beneficiaries and a 10-month allowance for each student in a year. The following are the amounts set by the government agency:
- Php 300.00 per child in pre-school or day care
- Php 300.00 per child in elementary
- Php 500.00 per child in junior high school
- Php 700.00 per child in senior high school
With regards to the health grant covered by the DSWD 4Ps benefits, the children in the family who are aged 0 to 5 years old and the pregnant women will receive assistance from the government agency. The other benefits include:
- Rice Subsidy – Php 600.00 per month
- PhilHealth automatic coverage
- Priority in the availment of DSWD Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) modalities and interventions
