Boy Abunda Gives Update About Boobay; Reveals Comedian had ‘Silent Seizure’

Here’s an update about Boobay according to Boy Abunda

BOY ABUNDA – The King of Talk gave an update about comedian Boobay following an episode of Fast Talk wherein he became unresponsive.

On April 20, Norman Balbuena, also known as “Boobay,” experienced a “silent seizure” during a live interview with Boy Abunda on “Fast Talk.” Boy noticed that something was wrong with Boobay and took a break for less than six minutes to call a doctor and nurse.

After two to three minutes, Boobay returned to normal, and Boy revealed that Boobay’s doctor called it a “silent seizure”, an effect of the mild stroke he had in 2016. Despite the incident, Boy assured everyone that Boobay is doing fine now and urged him to take care of his health. Many people praised and thanked Boy for being vigilant in noticing something unusual happening to Boobay.

Boobay admitted in an interview with Boy that he is a workaholic and that work is his “rest.” Although he provides for himself and his family, he keeps accepting work because he wants to secure his future and doesn’t want to miss any opportunities. Boobay also revealed that his nervousness, the lights on the set, and lack of sleep might have triggered his seizure.

Meanwhile, a silent seizure, also known as a partial seizure, is a type of seizure where a person experiences a disruption in brain activity that only affects one part of the brain, instead of the entire brain. Unlike a generalized seizure, which causes convulsions and loss of consciousness, a silent seizure may not be noticeable to others and the person experiencing it may only display subtle symptoms such as staring, twitching, or lip-smacking.
