Alfred Vargas: “Nostalgia conquers my heart looking at old photos like this”
ALFRED VARGAS – The actor-politician posted an elementary photo of himself and also shared nostalgic moments behind the said photo.
The actor is one of the stars in Kapuso Afternoon Prime’s family-drama series “AraBella” alongside Camille Prats, Shayne Sava, Althea Ablan.
Alfred recently posted a photo of himself when he was a Grade 2 – Arayat student at Ateneo Grade School way back in 1989. According to him, he became a member of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines during that time.
In the caption of his post, the actor shared that nostalgia conquers his heart by looking at his old photos like the one he posted on his social media account as he remembered those “simple days” of play, laughter, and discovery.
“‘Laging handa. Gawin ang makakaya!’ This was always our battle cry every Wednesday, our co-curricular activity day,” he shared. “As far as I can remember, this was the start of the inculcation of the concept of SERVICE. The principle of being a ‘MAN FOR OTHERS.’“

The “AraBella” star also shared that he once dreamed of becoming a lawyer like her late mom. He shared that her mom was a “diligent and respected” lawyer in government during her time and so he wanted to be like her.
According to him, her late mom was one of the few major influences of his life. He also said that it was only years after when he discovered his true love for public service and for acting.
Alfred Vargas took his undergraduate degree in management economics at Ateneo de Manila University, earned his Master of Public Administration at UP National College of Public Administration and Governance, and is currently enrolled at the University of the Philippines School of Urban and Regional Planning.
