Photo of Martin del Rosario with starfish goes viral, earns mixed reactions
MARTIN DEL ROSARIO – The Kapuso actor and Voltes V: Legacy star was heavily criticized due to his photo with a lot of starfish.
Starfish, also known as sea stars, are fascinating creatures that inhabit the ocean floor. They are members of the phylum Echinodermata, which also includes sea urchins and sand dollars. There are over 2,000 species of starfish, and they come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors.
One of the most unique features of starfish is their ability to regenerate lost body parts. If a starfish loses one of its arms, it can grow a new one in its place. Some species can even regenerate their entire body from just a single arm. This remarkable ability has made starfish a subject of fascination for scientists and the general public alike.
Starfish also play an important role in marine ecosystems, as both predators and prey. They feed on a variety of small invertebrates, and they are in turn eaten by fish, sea birds, and other animals. Despite facing challenges such as the sea star wasting syndrome disease, starfish continue to be a symbol of the incredible diversity and resilience of life in the ocean.
It was just recently when actor Martin del Rosario went to social media platform, Facebook wherein he posted a photo of himself. It was taken in Palawan. In the photo, he can be seen with a lot of starfish on his body. His post was accompanied by the caption: “Starfish attack.”
Apparently, the photo earned feedbacks from the netizens. Here are the comments of some netizens:
The LGU of Palawan and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) have yet to comment on the photo of Martin del Rosario as of posting.
