Tawas? Male student offered it for free to his classmates
FREE TAWAS – A male student offered free “tawas” or alum to his classmates by hanging the natural deodorant on the blackboard.
Tawas, also known as alum or potassium alum, is a mineral salt commonly used for its medicinal and cosmetic properties. It has been used for centuries in traditional medicine to treat various ailments and as a natural deodorant.
Tawas is a transparent, colorless crystal that dissolves easily in water. It has an astringent and antiseptic quality, which makes it an effective remedy for various skin problems such as acne, rashes, and insect bites. It is also used to stop bleeding from minor cuts and wounds and to reduce the swelling of minor injuries.
One of the most popular uses of tawas is as a natural deodorant. Its antimicrobial properties help to inhibit the growth of odor-causing bacteria, thus reducing body odor. Unlike commercial deodorants that contain harmful chemicals, tawas is gentle on the skin and does not clog the pores.
Meanwhile, a netizen named CJ Dela Cruz recently went to the social networking site, Facebook particularly on Homepaslupa Buddies 3.0 wherein he shared photos of a student named Peter Allen Mendoza. According to his post, the student is offereing free ‘tawas’ to his classmates.
In the photo, Allen can be seen hanging several sachets of ‘tawas’ or Alum. The post generated mixed reactions from the netizens.
