Kris Bernal on her first pregnancy: “Na-embrace ko ‘yung mga pagbabago sa katawan ko.”
KRIS BERNAL – After announcing that she and her husband Perry Choi are expecting their first child, the actress recently spoke about her first pregnancy.
The actress appeared on Tuesday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” wherein she opened up about her first pregnancy and also spoke about the changes in her lifestyle and her baby.
According to her, she’s embracing changes in her body and her lifestyle.
In an interview with Boy Abunda, she shared that she’s a fitness fanatic as she’s used to having muscles and a flat tummy. However, she said that she’s embracing the changes not only in her body but also in her life.
The actress also shared that her priorities are also shifting – from focusing on herself to thinking about the future of her baby.
“Alam ko magastos ako, alam ‘yan ng asawa ko, pero ngayon ‘yung iniisip ko na ‘yung future ng baby, nagugulat ako sa sarili ko kasi hindi naman ako ganito,” Kris said. “Looking forward din ako sa experience, at sa lessons. Lahat bago sakin, willing ako matutunan lahat for the baby.“
Kris also shared that she had an immediate realization as a future mom.
According to the actress, she realized that the sacrifices of a mother start when the child is still in the womb. She admitted that it was really hard for her, especially during her first trimester when she was on bed rest.

The actress became emotional when the King of Talk asked her to give a message for her future child.
“Surprise din siya sa akin kasi gusto ko pang magtrabaho pero sana maging proud sa akin ang anak ko, and sana ma-appreciate niya ang sacrifices ng isang ina,” she said. “Ako gagawin ko talaga lahat para mapatunayan na I can be the best mom.”
To recall, the actress announced last March 3, 2023 that she and her husband are expecting their first child. Aside from that, she also announced the rebranding of her YouTube channel by reintroducing herself as the “ultimate SHE-zum”.
