Why Eric Tai aka Eruption was removed from It’s Showtime?

ERUPTION – The former It’s Showtime host who is also known as Eric Tai talked about his removal from the noontime program.

It was just recently when he appeared on the YouTube channel of Julius Babao, the Julius Babao Unplugged wherein he revealed the reason why he “disappeared” from It’s Showtime. According to him, one of the producers of the ABS-CBN noontime show told him that he was removed from the program because it had to go through a reformat.

“Papasok na ako ng Showtime ‘tapos kinuha ako nung producer. Ang sabi niya, kung pwede daw mag-meeting muna. “Umakyat kami sa taas. I was like, ‘Uy, ba’t aakyat sa taas? Bihira kami dito sa taas,” he said.

“And then I had a feeling that something was going on and then sabi niya, ‘Pasenya na, Eric, na nagkaroon kami ng reformat and hindi na kailangan ‘yung full services mo dito.’ I took it on the chin and I said, ‘Thank you. Kasi, kilala na ako dahil sa inyo,” he added.

Eric Tai aka Eruptian said he always hold the show in his heart. He’s thankful to director Bobet Vidanes as well as Vice Ganda and other hosts because he now have a name on showbiz and was able to get endorsement and social media following.

Meanwhile, among the current hosts of It’s Showtime are Vhong Navarro, Anne Curtis, Vice Ganda, Teddy Corpuz, Jugs Jugueta, Karylle, Jhong Hilario, Ryan Bang, Amy Perez, Kim Chiu, Ion Perez, Jackie Gonzaga, Ogie Alcasid, MC Calaquian, Lassy Marquez and Cianne Dominguez.
