Joaquin Domagoso Speaks on Dad Isko’s Failed Presidential Bid
JOAQUIN DOMAGOSO – The son of fomer Manila Mayor Isko Moreno admitted that he was hurt when some of his showbiz friends discredited his dad during thje Election 2022 period.
One of the children of former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, Joaquin Domagoso or also called by his family and friends as “JD”, entered the showbiz industry at a young age. He is currently an artist under GMA-7 network for more than a year now.
Joaquin bagged several awards even if it is still not so many years that he is in the industry. His portrayal of his role as the main cast in the film That Boy in the Dark earned him several awards including an international one.
Joaquin Domagoso greatly helped campaign for his father when then-Manila Mayor Isko Moreno ran for president in 2022. However, the former Manila Mayor who is also a former actor did not win the presidential race.
Recently, Joaquin Domagoso appeared as a guest on the newest Kapuso show Fast Talk with Boy Abunda. During the interview, one of the topics raised was the failed presidential bid of his father, former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.
Joaquin was asked if he has ill feelings over the support of the showbiz industry to his father. According to the young Kapuso actor, he understands if his showbiz friends will not support his father but it really hurts him when his friends would share stuff that discredit his father.
“You know me when I talk to you, eh. I’m so friendly and I’ll tell you all the nicest things that’s why it’s fine though, I don’t anybody about it wala aking paki kung binoto mo to or ganun support mo. When I see you, I’m still the same JD, best friend pa rin masakit lang sakin,” the young actor said.
Meanwhile, during the interview, Joaquin Domagoso stressed his learning that everyone has an opinion which should be respected. He stressed relief now that the election is over.
