After three nights at sea, the mother and daughter were spotted by fishermen searching for boats being swept away. According to the mother, she and her child were sleeping inside the house on Christmas Eve or December 24, while the other family members were outside.

Suddenly, a strong flood came and their house collapsed.

The mother and child went straight to the sea. Fortunately, Christelyn was able to cling to a dilapidated raft. They were floating in the middle of the sea on Christmas Day. Finding food became a challenge for the two.

They were desperately looking for food until they found a papaya and a fish, which they ate while being alive. When her child started to look for something to drink, fortunately, she found a coconut fruit.

Christelyn felt scared when the raft they were riding in split. She was afraid they would drown. They even shaken when a snake joined them on their raft. The snake eventually fled.

It was on December 27 when fishermen found Chrystelin and her child. She learned that her husband was also swept away by the flood, but did not survive.
