Glaiza de Castro: “Very significant po sa amin ang dagat”
GLAIZA DE CASTRO – The Kapuso actress recently spoke about the beach wedding with her husband David Rainey.
To recall, Glaiza and David first met during her birthday trip to Siargao, got engaged in 2020, and first tied the knot in Northern Ireland last October 2021.
It was last January 23, 2023 when Glaiza and David tied the knot in a sunset wedding ceremony at a beach resort in Zambales. The Kapuso actress can be seen wearing a modern wedding gown, while her husband can be seen sporting a classic Barong Tagalog.
Their families and close friends were also present at that time – including Angelica Panganiban, Bianca Umali, Maxene Magalona, Isabel Oli, Ruru Madrid, Sheena Halili, Chynna Ortaleza, and Rochelle Pangilinan.
In an interview with Boy Abunda, Glaiza and David shared that they had been planning to tie the knot twice for a long time. The couple chose a Filipiniana-themed beach wedding for their second marriage.
According to the actress, the sea has an important contribution to the relationship between her and her husband, which was the reason why they tied the knot near the sea for the second time.
Glaiza also recalled the time when she and her partner met near the sea, proposed to her in front of the sea, and tied the knot in Ireland in front of the sea.

She also shared the foundation of her relationship with David.
“Kahit saan galing ang taong minamahal mo, ‘yung foundation talaga dapat ang i-build niyo, which is ‘yung love. It sounds cheesy but, ‘yun talaga ‘yung dapat i-work on,” she said. “It doesn’t matter kung saan siya galing, kung malayo siya, iba ang kultura niya, iba ‘yung nationality niya pero that’s the connecting factor talaga, pag-ibig.”
