Pres. Bongbong Marcos Appoints New Adviser for National Security
BONGBONG MARCOS – The President appointed a new National Security Adviser who will replace professor Clarita Carlos.
The changes in the people occupying government positions are ongoing. From time to time, a new official is taking a post in the government and swearing before the country’s chief executive, Pres. Bongbong Marcos. Such situations take place due to different reasons. Most of the recent situations involve the leaderships in government agencies and the Cabinet of the President.
Recently, professor Clarita Carlos who was appointed by Marcos Jr. as his National Security Adviser left her post. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Educator moved to a different agency in the government.
According to the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), Carlos decided to push through with her “scholastic endeavors” thus she joined the Congressional Policy and Budget Research Department of the House of Representatives.
“I have decided to migrate to another agency where my expertise on foreign, defense, and security policy will be of use and I shall continue to help build a better Philippines,” the former National Security Adviser said.
Recently, the new National Security Adviser of the Philippines took his oath before Pres. Bongbong Marcos. Based on the report, former Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo Año was appointed as the new National Security Adviser of the President.
Año’s appointment as the new National Security Adviser came following the changes in the leadership in the Department of National Defense and the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
The former Interior Secretary recently took his oath to Pres. Marcos Jr. He has yet to give a statement regarding his appointment to a new post in the government under the new administration.
