To recall, it was last October 17 when Soriano was appointed as the Presidential Adviser for Creative Communications.

At a press conference on Monday, December 5, Soriano shared that he is challenged with his new position in the government. He said that the political arena and the creative industry are “two different worlds”.

The President has told me he wants to bring the scholarship, the grants, you know… he wants to be able to build more cultural infrastructure to help our artists, he was talking about creative communities, villages so that people can really create… especially those that we don’t have yet,” Soriano said.

According to him, he already has plans and programs for the creative industry and he is eyeing to execute his plans by early 2023.
