JOVIT BALDIVINO – The family of the Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) Season 1 grand winner released an official statement following the singer’s death.

Jovit died on Friday, December 9 at around 4:00 a.m. at the age of 29. His death was first confirmed by his brother Gil Baldivino as well as his partner Camille Ann Miguel.

Following his death, Jovit’s family has released an official statement thru Jerry Telan, his former handler in Star Magic, the talent management arm of ABS-CBN.

According to his parents, Mr. Hilario “Larry” and Mrs.Cristeta Baldivino, and his fiancé Camille, “he was recuperating for a week with hypertension maintenance medicines.”

During his recuperating period, he was advised by his doctor not to sing. Then, a family friend from Batangas City invited him to an event. At the time, he performed three (3) of his signature songs including Faithfully by Journey.

On the third song, Jovit was noticed gasping for breath. His face was deformed with flowing saliva after an hour of sitting. He was then rushed to the nearest ER at Nazareth of Jesus Hospital around 10 p.m. on December 3, 2022.

The CT scan revealed a blood clot in the brain (a sign of an aneurysm). He was comatose for 5 days and earlier today, he passed away at the age of 29. He died due to an aneurysm as per the report of PEP.ph.

Meanwhile, Baldivino, a former siomai vendor, rose to fame when won the first season of “Pilipinas Got Talent” in 2010, taking home P2 million. He is known for singing “Mahal Pa Rin” and “Faithfully,” which earned him the moniker “Next Super Star.”
