Marcelito Pomoy Speaks about “Lucky Charm” that Jovit Baldivino Gave Him during PGT Season 2
JOVIT BALDIVINO – Pilipinas Got Talent season 2 grand winner Marcelito Pomoy revealed that Jovit gave him a “lucky charm” during the competition.
The death of Jovit Baldivino has left countless hearts broken. At a young age of 29, the singer who was the grand winner of Pilipinas Got Talent season 1 died following stroke and blood clot in his brain.
According to the family of Jovit, he had his first stroke last November 22. In the first week of December, he was invited by a friend to a Christmas party and he was not able to turn down the request of the crowd for him to sing despite the advice of the doctor not to do strenuous activities while he is recovering.
However, after singing three (3) songs at the Christmas party, Jovit Baldivino had another stroke and was rushed to the hospital. His CTScan result showed blood clot in his brain. A surgery was perfomed on him and he was in a comatose state for five (5) days before he died.
One of the known personalities who are greatly affected by the death of Jovit Baldivino is Marcelito Pomoy, the grand champion of the second season of PGT. He is vocal about his gratitude to Jovit whom he describes as not just his friend but a brother to him for his support when he was competing for PGT.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Marcelito Pomoy revealed that Jovit Baldivino gave him a necklace which he considers as his “lucky charm” when he was competing in PGT season 2. According to the singer, Jovit supported him since the semi-finals and gave him a necklace.
“Pinasuot niya sakin. Ang hindi ko makakalimutang sinabi niya sa akin ay, ‘suotin mo ito bro, hanggang sa dulo nandito ako para sumuporta sa iyo,” Marcelito said.
The relationship of Jovit and Marcelito grew through the years. He was even Marcelito’s best man during his wedding in 2014. The PGT season 2 grand winner streassed that the death of Jovit whom he calls “Parekoy” is really painful.
