Herlene Budol: “Sinabi ko po sa sarili ko na ayokong mawawalan ako ng pera”
HERLENE BUDOL – The beauty queen recently spoke about having multiple jobs at the age of 15 and becoming a “raketera” during the pandemic.
Herlene said in an interview on the latest episode of “Updated with Nelson Canlas” podcast that she moved from one job to another when she’s just 15 years old.
According to her, she juggled going to school, working as a seller, a waitress, and a city hall employee — all at the same time. She shared that it started when she had no money to pay for her grandmother’s hospital fees.
Although Herlene and her grandparents were able to eat 3 times a day, she said that they didn’t really feel full. At times, she shared that she would go to school without anything to eat.
Herlene is also thankful to have been recognized after joining “Wowowin” as a contestant last 2019. It started her career in show business, making way for roles including gigs with “Bubble Gang”.

However, she revealed having to become a “raketera” again as everything became uncertain during the coronavirus pandemic.
“Biglang bagsak ‘yung career ko nung time na ‘yon,” Herlene said. “Nag-umpisa ako mag-negosyo noon. Nagtinda ng mga lip tint, mga pre-loved (items), mga nasuot ko sa ‘Wowowin.’”
The beauty queen also promised to strive even harder as “puwede ‘tong mawala lahat”.
Meanwhile, the beauty queen is set to star in an upcoming Kapuso show titled “Magandang Dilag.”
